For Those Who Don’t Know Me
Hello.
I spent my early childhood in Singapore, went to elementary school in Kamakura, attended a boarding junior and senior high school in Kagoshima, and eventually dropped out of high school. Now I live between San Francisco, Tokyo, and soon Paris, while working on engineering and research around the human mind and exploring different aspects of the world.I’m a very in-between kind of person: immature but with a high perspective, impulsive yet bold, funny at times, and self-aware.
Because I genuinely love my own mind and have a deep fascination with it, I founded Kokoro Research.
I believe that maybe I’m someone who can actually improve the way humanity thinks. At Kokoro Research, I’m building Mind (mind.pw) and Rental, Human. (talkwithhuman.com).
I believe that thinking is essential.
Free Accelerationism should keep advancing as it is.
However, humanity must engage more deeply in understanding the pure, human act of comprehension.
Only humans can truly understand, and the ability to understand and act will become ever more important from now on.
That is why I am building Mind, the greatest thinking experience in human history.
- A thinking editor
- Action items derived from thoughts
- Externalization through contextual understanding and intelligent supplementation - Your best friend
- Learning based on thought itself
All of these are integrated into one: Mind, the ultimate environment for thinking.
We also plan to develop dedicated hardware.
This is the core project of Kokoro Research. The reason I’m building “Rental, Human.” is a bit more complex.
Reason 1: Nowadays, it’s rare to have friends who engage in deep conversations. We need friends who can think and discuss.
Reason 2: As AI Friends like those in Mind become more common, the value of real human friends will rise accordingly.
Therefore, I’m building Rental, Human., a service where you can chat with real people.
At first, it will be a chat-based service between users and operators, partly to generate cash for developing Mind. But in the future, I plan to evolve it into a social platform consisting only of real humans, where communication happens solely through chat.
The reason for using chat is simple: humans think more deeply when writing than when speaking.I’ll probably also be working as an influencer.
As side projects, I’m building homelessfounders.com, and within Kokoro Research I’m also building my-life.app, yourbestfriend.app, kokoro.wiki, deeepthink.com, and deeepinterview.com, plus calmmindapp.com. I’ve also set up ryuzo.support.
I’m considering selling or transferring all of these side projects.I think a lot. sizu.me/ryuzo, x.com/ryuzokijima, x.com/punchkun_, blog.ryuzokijima.com, kokoro.wiki/ryuzo, and from now on I’ll probably be thinking a lot on ryuzo.mind.pw. I’m also organizing my life on ryuzo.my-life.app.
Right now, I’m focusing on strengthening myself through solo development and marketing, but I also want to find amazing teammates. I’m always open to meeting them.
When it comes to relationships, I want to live alongside people who share my thoughts and actions. Of course, I also want to connect with a wide variety of people.
I will continue to grow.
I don’t know yet how learning will affect Mind or Rental, Human. that’s still a mystery.
On learning from others, I don’t think I should remain in an environment where I don’t even have the will to learn.
Or perhaps the message is that there’s nothing left for me to learn, that I should completely stop studying and immediately build my own religion (a community formed around the pure beliefs I currently hold).
However, I still believe I have much to learn, and in any case, I can grow my own religion in parallel.
I simply want to learn deeply, understand the world, and know my place within it. Even if I am only at the starting line, I can rethink things as many times as needed.
History, academic research, old scriptures, modern capitalism, human relationships, politics, finance, I will learn them all.
So, I am working on four things.
Mind, Rental Human, Influencer activities (although I believe thought is the most important and I strongly dislike the existing attention economy, I must endure it in order to have large influence in the current world), and light capitalism (I dislike shallow capitalist activities, but in order to live in this world, I must earn living expenses, so I have to endure it).
Of course, I also have a private life.
